7 Day Guided Cycling Tour - Intinerary
Arrive into Adelaide, transfers provided to your accommodation, meet and greet your guide with a welcome group dinner on your first night to get excited about your adventure ahead. Meals: Restaurant dinner in Adelaide (2 courses)
Transfer to the Barossa for a day of cycling, wine tasting and gourmet food sampling. Visits may include Penfolds, Maggie Beers, Yalumba and other iconic food and wine venues whilst cycling the off road Barossa Rail Trail. A fun day on the bike.
Meals: Full breakfast; Platter style lunch in Barossa, 2 course dinner in Barossa. Cycling 25kms
Morning transfer to Auburn via iconic Seppetsfeld Road for a day of cycling on the Riesling Rail Trail to Clare. A highlight is a full gourmet lunch at the highly regarded Skillogalee Winery. Overnight in Clare. Cycling 35kms
Meals: Full breakfast in Barossa, Lunch at Skillogalee. Evening free.
From Clare we make our way back to Auburn tracing a slightly different route with lots of optional diversions, and a gourmet platter style lunch at the stunning O’Leary Walker Winery. We then transfer to the beautiful Adelaide Hills and check in at our accommodation in the middle of historic Hahndorf. Cycling 35kms
Meals: Full breakfast; winery lunch. Free evening.
Today we ride the scenic Amy Gillet Trail in the Adelaide Hills. Enjoy chocolate and wine tastings and a lovely winery lunch. An easy 25kms ride before we make our way back to Hahndorf for some free time and our 2nd night. Cycling distance: 25kms
Meals: Cafe breakfast. Special dinner at Chef Hat Mount Lofty Estate restaurant
After a hearty breakfast, we transfer via the scenic route to the seaside wine region of McLaren Vale. Our cycling today is on the paved, scenic and aptly named Shiraz Trail, a flat and fun ride. We enjoy an exclusive wine and food matching lunch at Wirra Wirra, before being transferred back to Adelaide for our final evening. We celebrate the tour with a restaurant dinner in Adelaide, which is always loads of fun. Overnight in Adelaide. Cycling 20-25kms
Meals: Full breakfast, winery lunch, group restaurant dinner
