If you’re a nature lover, a visit to Mt. Tamborine is a must – known as the ‘green behind the gold’, this is different side of the Gold Coast that’s not to be missed. With the third oldest National Park in the world, numerous walks, lookouts, home-grown produce, spas and art galleries, there’s something for everyone. Out on the water, there are more locals to meet: take a whale watching cruise or explore beneath the waves at Wonder Reef – a purpose-built dive attraction off the coastline that’s opening in 2022.
